1. Scope and information collected
Easy Towings, the individual operator of Easy Towings, handles information described here. We collect account name, email, phone, submitted company and USDOT/MC details, services and coverage, language, availability and legal acceptance records; requests, vehicle details, addresses and coordinates, notes, photos, bids, statuses and communications preferences. When enabled, provider GPS, heading, speed and ETA may be processed for an active job. We also process device push tokens, basic device/browser information and security/access logs. Customers may request without an account. We do not collect service payments or card details.
2. How information is used
We use information to connect customers and providers, match service/duty/radius preferences, manage bids and jobs, show tracking, send transactional updates, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain security, record consent and meet legal obligations. Location is used for matching and active tracking, not to guarantee a response. Automated estimates or recommendations assist decisions; customers choose their provider.
3. Sharing and independent providers
Nearby eligible providers receive request, vehicle and service-location details. The winning provider can access the customer’s name, phone and authorized job photos. The customer sees offer details and winning-provider information; competitors’ identities are not intentionally shared with each other. Active provider location is available to the customer through the job’s authorized page. A guest tracking link is an access credential; keep it private. Providers act independently and are responsible for their own handling of data. We also share necessary information with hosting/auth/storage services (Lovable Cloud), Google location services, Firebase/Apple push delivery and transactional email services, and authorized support. We may disclose information for lawful requests, safety, fraud prevention or legal claims. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Location, photos and your choices
Device location requires your permission; you may type an address instead. Provider location sharing can be stopped in the app or device settings. Revoking permission does not erase previously stored positions. Upload only relevant photos with permission and avoid faces, documents or unnecessary identifiers. You can change language and notifications, disable push in device settings, sign out and contact [contact email] for access, correction, deletion or other rights that apply under law. We verify requests proportionately; legal, security or dispute records may be retained. There is no marketing SMS program; any future texts require lawful consent and STOP opt-out.
5. Storage, retention and security
We use local storage and similar technologies to remember language, session, guided-tour progress and guest tracking links. Necessary service providers may use cookies or similar technologies; clearing storage may remove your saved tracking link. Information is retained as reasonably needed for active services, account operation, support, security, legal acceptance evidence and legal obligations; retention depends on purpose rather than a promised fixed period. We use access controls and private photo access, but no system is perfectly secure. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Processing may occur in the United States and other places where service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
6. Children, transfers and updates
The platform is for adults 18 or older; we do not knowingly collect information from children. Contact us if a child supplied data.
